Events and other things for members and friends of Hollywood Heritage
Hollywood Heritage and the Hollywood Studio Museum invite you to participate in events not only at our location, but at other locations as well. Book signings, tours, films, lectures and all other architectural preservation or film history oriented are among the events we promote. If you are a member of Hollywood Heritage, special discounts may apply and there are also members-only events for you to enjoy.

Bevery Hills Confidential
Especially prepared show for The Hollywood Heritage Museum – Authors Barbara Schroeder and Clark Fogg will be presenting a special view of the Golden City – Beverly Hills – and it’s not as well known dark side. This presentation has not been made before and will focus on those events and individuals involved in mysteries and scandals who are in the film industry.

New Books at the Hollywood Heritage Museum Store
In addition to the great author’s books available at our “Afternoon with the Authors,” The museum gift store is loaded with new and out of print collectible biographies, collections, and photo books on all Hollywood topics.

And while you’re here check out our “The Great Gatsby” exhibit featuring items of Fitzgeraldiana related to the four versions of this famous jazz age novel on display courtesy Hollywood Heritage member Nick Beck.

We begin the anniversary celebration of “The Squaw Man” with a special panel of historians telling us with video presentations, about Hollywood at the Dawn of the Movies.

In December,1913 filming began on Hollywood’s first feature-length motion picture “The Squaw Man”. To kick off what will be the centennial year of the film, we are hosting an in-depth presentation of Hollywood’s earliest years with a distinguished panel of film historians and authors who will speak on the following topics:

Hollywood when the movies came to town

The program will also feature a screening of the legendary 1914 version of “THE SQUAW MAN”, the directorial debut of Cecil B. DeMille.
